Work Spaces with Style

Although this weekend isn't shaping up to be a very nice one weather-wise, I'm kind of ok with that. I've got my boy and my pups to keep me warm so I'm looking forward to lounging. However, before I do, I have a bit of homework to do. On that note, let's peruse some home office and work spaces with true style and sophistication, perfect to tackle that pile of paperwork (or in my case, homework) that's been looming.

What better way to get inspired than with a collage of photos that inspire you?

Bathrooms To Lust Over

What's more inviting in your home (besides a cozy bed) than a pristine bathroom with glistening fixtures and fluffy towels? I can't think of much.

I could most definitely find myself soaking in one of these tubs for a few hours.

Put a Little Spring in Your Step!

Today has been so incredibly beautiful and spring-like that I believe I have already been bit by the bug and given a healthy dose of Spring Fever. While lusting over the 50 degrees of warmth outside (yes, 50 feels hot) I couldn't help but let my eyes wander to some architecture and landscape design that is particularly spring and summer inspired.

Probably the only treehouse with a curtain wall making for a beautiful view from inside.

I'm secretly hoping the more I think spring, the faster it will come.

Hollywood Glam

Last night I snuggled in while the blustery wind blew outside and watched "A Single Man". It was an amazing movie in itself featuring Colin Firth and Julianne Moore. Set in the 60s in Santa Monica, CA, it featured the most beautiful architecture and captured the essence of true Hollywood glam. A set designed so elegantly, I feel Woodson & Rummerfield would be proud.
First up, is Colin's character, George's home. Absolutely impectable architecture by John Lautner was the backdrop for this gorgeous set.

Now on to Julianne's character, Charlie's home. The interiors of this home were my personal favorite. Just look at that sofa!

Yes, I'll take this as my powder room please!

I found out the home is now on the market selling for 1.495 million... any takers?

Wallpaper: Classic styles from Georgia Horton

As a designer I have always shied away from wallpaper. It's simply because I would spend hours wallpapering in shop in high school and cutting my fingers to bits (trust me, I have the scars to prove it) and the paper would shrink and expand and never line up properly. So needless to say, I don't quite have the best memories associated with the stuff. However, when I came across Georgia Horton's line of hand printed wallpapers and instantly repressed all those bad memories! Take a look at her gorgeous, fun prints that are unlike much that I've ever seen.

This one is my all time favorite due to my slight obsession with lobsters and all things nautical.

Quite elegant and playful, aren't they?

There are plenty of styles to suit just about any interior application from vintage to contemporary, so please go check them out!

Romance is in the air....

Since starting school last week I have been (regrettably) engulfed in homework. I can tell this semester is going to be a great one...

However, that hasn't stopped me from taking a peek at some interiors that I have found truly delightful.

All very romantic, don't you think? Just in time for that speical day that happens to be coming up right around the corner...

Shaggy!

No matter if "in" or "out", shag rugs will always be a fun addition to any living space. They are cozy, add warmth and are super stylish.

How glamourous!

Castello di Reschio

It's this time of year (the harshest of the winter) when I think of all the lovely places I would love to visit. I always have the typical tropical islands pop into my mind first but then I came across the enchanting Castello di Reschio villas in Perugia, Italy. My personal favorite is the Arrighi villa, pictured here:

Definitely not tropical, but sultry and spectacular in it's very own way, don't you think?

I will not be going here on my next vacation, but a girl can dream, can't she?
