Happy Friday!

There's something about the drive into work on a Friday morning that just feels.. well, different. It's that feeling that the end is in sight and soon you can be relaxing with your favorite book by the pool or enjoying a day on Martha's Vineyard (which I am lucky enough to be doing this weekend!) with sunshine flooding your personal space. Yeah, I'm so ready for this week to be over.

Sayonara and enjoy!

Where You Lay Your Head

The place you lay your head at night should be warm, inviting, comfortable, simple, and free of distractions. Your day is busy enough with various events that the one place that you should be able to feel no pressure is in your bedroom. Here are some bedrooms that have the perfect amount of personality and yet, are overcome with simple sophistication.

Collages + Collections = Grouped Art

I'm finding myself more and more attached to groups of framed art and collages on the wall more and more. For anyone with lots of photos, paintings, and personal items, a wall collage is the best solution to show case all of your favorite things.

Gives each space such an overall warm feeling, doesn't it?

Bathrooms To Lust Over

What's more inviting in your home (besides a cozy bed) than a pristine bathroom with glistening fixtures and fluffy towels? I can't think of much.

I could most definitely find myself soaking in one of these tubs for a few hours.

Snowy Days

This morning I woke up to a blanket of white, fluffy snow all over everything so I called into work because my fear of driving in the snow will never subside. By about 11 o'clock the snow stopped and the sun was out. Now, the streets and sidewalks are so soft and beautiful you could just dive right into them and sleep forever...

And now, since I'm back at work, this is where I would much rather be; magazines, tea and all.

Livable Spaces

While perusing one of my favorite websites, One Kings Lane, I came across this eye-popping space by Katie Lydon...

I think I love just about every piece of furniture and accessories used. It has the perfect blend of cool and comfortable colors with the funky zebra print ottoman to give the room some style. I love the calming green faux linen walls and the way the light shines through the linen shades giving them a pinkish glow.

And, while I couldn't stop there I did a bit more research on Katie Lydon I found another space in the same home that caught my eye as well...

These cabinets are extraordinary. The contrast she created in the floor and stainless steel dining table and chairs is stunning, to say the least.
I love the simplicy of both of these spaces and how livable they actually are. Often times I find myself questioning if a space is actually livable or just for looks, and with these spaces I could actually see myself in them. In fact, I'll move in right now!
